cast bios

David Elder

Jeff Bollow

Jeff BollowJeff's other feature film credits include Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, Lost Valley, Pink Lightning and a Columbo television movie.  Television credits include a recurring role on the short-lived Ann Jillian Show, as well as appearances on Gabriel's Fire, The Trials of Rosie O'Neill, Sisters, Inside Out, and New Zealand's Shortland Street.  He has appeared in dozens of commercials, and worked in New Zealand on the Young Hercules television series.  He has performed improvisational comedy with both Los Angeles and Auckland Theatresports, with On The Spot Productions and Silage in New Zealand, and with the iMPS and Malignant Humor, in Los Angeles.  But nothing could prepare him for this.

Spy Holden

Billy Milionis

Billy MilionisCurrently an acting teacher at the acclaimed Sydney actors studio The Actors Pulse, Billy is a hard-working bloke.  As a result of his starring role in the Korean box-office smash The Marriage Story Part 2, he is commonly known as "the Mel Gibson of Korea."  Other feature film credits include Bangkok Bandits and On Guard.  Billy has also appeared on the Australian television shows All Saints, Water Rats, Home and Away, and Breakers, and recently dazzled Sydney theatre audiences with his acclaimed performance in Insignificance at the Tap Gallery.  He studied acting in Los Angeles with the late Sanford Meisner, as well as with Bob Carnegie and Jeff Goldblum at Playhouse West.

Kylie Johnson

Melanie Holt

Melanie Holt6,000 Miles from Hollywood marks Melanie's feature film debut, after a string of Australian short films including "Tradition," "Nowere Going," "BN2," "Once Before Today," "Canoodle," "Mercy is for the Weak" and "Irrelevance."  Theatre credits include Hamlet and A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Roundabout Theatre, where she graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Theatre.  She made a brief appearance on the Comedy Channel's 50 Foot Show, and produced The Erotica Show at Sydney's Belvoir St Theatre.  Melanie has studied the Meisner Technique and Practical Aesthetics in Sydney. Her website is here.

Jake

Tux Akindoyeni

Tux AkindoyeniTux is still looking into the whole
"world wide web" thing.  As soon as he's convinced it's safe to tell you what he's done in the past, we'll let you know.

Ian

Sonny Felman

Sonny Felmar (photo not yet available)The role of Ian is a perfect example of the perils of low-budget filmmaking. Sydney actor Brian McNamara was originally cast as Ian, but got sick three days before shooting the infamous "night club scene." Sonny was a late replacement. When called upon to ADR his performance, Sonny didn't want to be a part of 6,000 Miles anymore.  As a result, the face in the film will belong to Sonny, but the voice will belong to another as-yet-unnamed actor.

Phil

Dallas C. Hill, Jr.

Dallas C. Hill, Jr.An American-born actor currently living in Australia, Dallas was in Sydney when 6,000 Miles was being shot, but has since moved to Perth.  We're hoping he'll return for ADR, otherwise it might not be his voice in the film.  Hmm.  Where have we heard that before?

Sharon

Eva Bartak

Eva BartakEva is a world-renowned actress, dancer and model.  We can't tell you where you can see her, because she might have bouncers that would come looking for us.  Okay, actually we're just waiting for her to send us her bio.
