What is Embryo Films looking for?

If you can meet the criteria on the previous pages, please send us your logline (next page). We are open to ANY story or project of ANY budget or genre. "We'll know it when we see it" holds true.

However, we're primarily interested in stories that align with our philosophical objectives (see Jeff's TED Talk), and are applicable to an independent production company's needs.

To be seriously considered, ALL PROJECTS must:

• Be marketable to a wide audience
• Have a clear genre
• Have exceptional quality writing
• Be ORIGINAL with "extraordinary" story ideas
• Show alignment with our business & creative objectives

At the moment, we have an eye out for:

• Major Hollywood studio projects
• Stories for/by/about/set in the Asian market
• Serious sci-fi (anticipating humanity's real future)
• Independent and festival-style material

We're aware this covers a broad spectrum. so you must be able to tell us exactly where YOUR project fits, so that we can respond accordingly. If you cannot explicitly state how your project aligns with our needs, you are demonstrating an apathy toward your would-be partners' interests, and we will generally not be interested.

Although occasionally there are exceptions, we are NOT normally interested in making:

• Horror films
• Gore films
• Drug-themed stories
• Supernatural stories
• Non-narrative Arthouse films
• Run-of-the-mill/predictable/formulaic stories

Our goal is to inspire the next generation and ingite humanity's imagination and ingenuity. Stories that promise to do so are more like to grab our attention.
